The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Hinthada plotted against Ayeyarwady and Myanmar. The SNDi of new construction in Hinthada rose steadily, compared to Ayeyarwady which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Myanmar which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Hinthada's incremental SNDi rose from 3.46 to 4.11 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Hinthada ranked 5th out of 18 cities in Ayeyarwady and 60th out of 113 in Myanmar as of 2020.

In new street additions, Hinthada built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Adoni fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Texcoco de Mora built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full street network, though, all three cities follow the same trend.
