The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Dedaye plotted against Ayeyarwady and Myanmar. The SNDi of new construction in Dedaye fell steadily, compared to Ayeyarwady which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Myanmar which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Dedaye's incremental SNDi fell from 3.43 to 3.27 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Dedaye ranked 7th out of 18 cities in Ayeyarwady and 64th out of 113 in Myanmar as of 2020.

In new street additions, Dedaye built increasingly connected streets over time, while Ain Temouchent fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Haripal built increasingly disconnected streets over time. Looking at the full network, Ain Temouchent and Haripal both became progressively more disconnected, while Dedaye became progressively more connected. Dedaye and Haripal have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
