The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Tétouan plotted against Tanger - Tétouan and Morocco. The SNDi of new construction in Tétouan rose steadily, compared to Tanger - Tétouan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Morocco which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Tétouan's incremental SNDi rose from 3.09 to 3.23 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Tétouan ranked 7th out of 8 cities in Tanger - Tétouan and 60th out of 72 in Morocco as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
While Vũng Tàu and Madalla both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, Tétouan built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street additions. For the full street network, though, all three cities follow the same trend. Tétouan and Vũng Tàu have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
