The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Tangier plotted against Tanger - Tétouan and Morocco. The SNDi of new construction in Tangier rose steadily, compared to Tanger - Tétouan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Morocco which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Tangier's incremental SNDi rose from 2.05 to 2.48 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Tangier ranked 2nd out of 8 cities in Tanger - Tétouan and 28th out of 72 in Morocco as of 2020.

In new street additions, Tangier and Faizabad both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Bangui built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full street network, though, all three cities follow the same trend.
