The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Rabat plotted against Rabat - Salé - Zemmour - Zaer and Morocco. The SNDi of new construction in Rabat rose steadily, compared to Rabat - Salé - Zemmour - Zaer which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Morocco which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Rabat's incremental SNDi rose from 2.15 to 2.61 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Rabat ranked 4th out of 5 cities in Rabat - Salé - Zemmour - Zaer and 36th out of 72 in Morocco as of 2020.
