The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Midelt plotted against Meknès - Tafilalet and Morocco. The SNDi of new construction in Midelt was at its lowest in 1976-1990, compared to Meknès - Tafilalet which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease and Morocco which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Midelt's incremental SNDi rose from 1.34 to 1.46 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Midelt ranked 3rd out of 7 cities in Meknès - Tafilalet and 13th out of 72 in Morocco as of 2020.

In new street additions, Midelt built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Zaranj built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Ukunda built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Midelt and Zaranj both became progressively more connected, while Ukunda became progressively more disconnected. Midelt and Ukunda have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
