In new street additions, El Jadida and Funing both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Zhangye built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, El Jadida and Funing both became progressively more disconnected, while Zhangye became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. El Jadida and Funing have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
