The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Deroua plotted against Chaouia - Ouardigha and Morocco. The SNDi of new construction in Deroua was at its lowest in 1991-2005, compared to Chaouia - Ouardigha which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Morocco which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Deroua's incremental SNDi rose from 1.52 to 1.71 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Deroua ranked 3rd out of 7 cities in Chaouia - Ouardigha and 22nd out of 72 in Morocco as of 2020.

While Alaşehir and Xihua both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, Deroua built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Alaşehir and Xihua both became progressively more disconnected, while Deroua became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. Notably, Deroua had a more sprawly network than Xihua in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
