The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Erdenet plotted against Orhon and Mongolia. The SNDi of new construction in Erdenet fell steadily, compared to Orhon which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease and Mongolia which rose steadily. Most recently, Erdenet's incremental SNDi fell from 1.75 to 1.59 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Erdenet ranked 1st out of 1 cities in Orhon and 1st out of 2 in Mongolia as of 2020.

In new street additions, Erdenet and Bahjoi both built increasingly connected streets over time, while Chibinang fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Erdenet and Bahjoi both became progressively more connected, while Chibinang fluctuated in connectivity. Erdenet and Bahjoi have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
