The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Fresnillo plotted against Zacatecas and México. The SNDi of new construction in Fresnillo peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Zacatecas which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and México which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Fresnillo's incremental SNDi fell from 1.46 to 1.39 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Fresnillo ranked 1st out of 2 cities in Zacatecas and 5th out of 182 in México as of 2020.

In new street additions, Fresnillo built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Nabatieh fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Bayana built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Fresnillo grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Nabatieh became progressively more connected and Bayana became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Fresnillo and Bayana have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
