The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Tehuacán plotted against Puebla and México. The SNDi of new construction in Tehuacán rose steadily, compared to Puebla which rose steadily and México which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Tehuacán's incremental SNDi rose from 2.93 to 3.21 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Tehuacán ranked 1st out of 7 cities in Puebla and 74th out of 182 in México as of 2020.

In new street additions, Tehuacán and Taloqan both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Lanxi built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Tehuacán and Taloqan both became progressively more disconnected, while Lanxi grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Tehuacán and Taloqan have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
