The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Atlixco plotted against Puebla and México. The SNDi of new construction in Atlixco rose steadily, compared to Puebla which rose steadily and México which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Atlixco's incremental SNDi rose from 3.63 to 4.21 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Atlixco ranked 2nd out of 7 cities in Puebla and 95th out of 182 in México as of 2020.

In new street additions, Atlixco and Kanakapura both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Haiyuan fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Atlixco and Kanakapura both became progressively more disconnected, while Haiyuan became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. Notably, Atlixco had a more connected network than Haiyuan in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
