The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Tepic plotted against Nayarit and México. The SNDi of new construction in Tepic rose steadily, compared to Nayarit which rose steadily and México which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Tepic's incremental SNDi rose from 2.58 to 3.15 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Tepic ranked 1st out of 2 cities in Nayarit and 67th out of 182 in México as of 2020.

In new street additions, Tepic and Butembo both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Ciudad del Este fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Tepic and Butembo both became progressively more disconnected, while Ciudad del Este fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Tepic had a more connected network than Ciudad del Este in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
