The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Silao plotted against Guanajuato and México. The SNDi of new construction in Silao rose steadily, compared to Guanajuato which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and México which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Silao's incremental SNDi rose from 3.16 to 4.28 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Silao ranked 14th out of 15 cities in Guanajuato and 125th out of 182 in México as of 2020.

While Baalbek and Trento both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, Silao built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street additions. For the full network, Silao and Baalbek both became progressively more disconnected, while Trento grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Silao and Baalbek have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
