The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Irapuato plotted against Guanajuato and México. The SNDi of new construction in Irapuato rose steadily, compared to Guanajuato which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and México which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Irapuato's incremental SNDi rose from 3.52 to 4.33 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Irapuato ranked 13th out of 15 cities in Guanajuato and 118th out of 182 in México as of 2020.

While M'bour and Tahta both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, Irapuato built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street additions. Looking at the full network, M'bour and Tahta both fluctuated in connectivity, while Irapuato became progressively more disconnected. Irapuato and M'bour have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
