The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Tecate plotted against Baja California and México. The SNDi of new construction in Tecate peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Baja California which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and México which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Tecate's incremental SNDi fell from 3.14 to 3.05 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Tecate ranked 4th out of 7 cities in Baja California and 126th out of 182 in México as of 2020.

While Taian and Manresa both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, Tecate built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Taian and Manresa both became progressively more disconnected, while Tecate grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Tecate and Taian have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
