The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Kati plotted against Koulikoro and Mali. The SNDi of new construction in Kati rose steadily, compared to Koulikoro which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Mali which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Kati's incremental SNDi rose from 3.22 to 4.43 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Kati ranked 4th out of 5 cities in Koulikoro and 21st out of 22 in Mali as of 2020.

Kati, Matagalpa, and Waukegan all built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street construction. The same pattern holds for the full street network. Notably, Kati had a more connected network than Matagalpa in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
