The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Lodwar plotted against Turkana and Kenya. The SNDi of new construction in Lodwar followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Turkana which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease and Kenya which rose steadily. Most recently, Lodwar's incremental SNDi rose from 3.55 to 4.18 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Lodwar ranked 1st out of 1 cities in Turkana and 25th out of 45 in Kenya as of 2020.

In new street additions, Lodwar and Hengshan both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while KK Market Centre built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Lodwar and Hengshan both fluctuated in connectivity, while KK Market Centre became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Lodwar and Hengshan have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
