The SNDi of new construction in Como peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Lombardia which peaked in 1976-1990 and Italy which peaked in 1991-2005. Most recently, Como's incremental SNDi fell from 4.9 to 4.6 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Como ranked 10th out of 11 cities in Lombardia and 86th out of 88 in Italy as of 2020.

In new street additions, Como built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while 赵家沟 fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Abu Gharaq built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Como and 赵家沟 both became progressively more disconnected, while Abu Gharaq became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. Como and 赵家沟 have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
