The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Molfetta plotted against Apulia and Italy. The SNDi of new construction in Molfetta rose steadily, compared to Apulia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Italy which peaked in 1991-2005. Most recently, Molfetta's incremental SNDi rose from 2.0 to 2.15 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Molfetta ranked 3rd out of 11 cities in Apulia and 4th out of 88 in Italy as of 2020.

In new street additions, Molfetta and Uturu both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Kaliabor fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Molfetta and Uturu both became progressively more disconnected, while Kaliabor became progressively more connected. Molfetta and Kaliabor have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
