The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Barletta plotted against Apulia and Italy. The SNDi of new construction in Barletta followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Apulia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Italy which peaked in 1991-2005. Most recently, Barletta's incremental SNDi rose from 2.59 to 2.62 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Barletta ranked 7th out of 11 cities in Apulia and 15th out of 88 in Italy as of 2020.

In new street additions, Barletta and Bailhongal both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Um el Qusur built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Barletta and Um el Qusur both became progressively more disconnected, while Bailhongal became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards.
