What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Baqubah built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Huailai fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Villa Mercedes built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Baqubah and Villa Mercedes both became progressively more disconnected, while Huailai became progressively more connected. Notably, Baqubah had a more connected network than Huailai in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
