What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Saqqez built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Cà Mau built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Ain Beida fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. Looking at the full network, Cà Mau and Ain Beida both became progressively more disconnected, while Saqqez became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Saqqez and Cà Mau have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
