The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Shushtar plotted against Khuzestan and Iran. The SNDi of new construction in Shushtar followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Khuzestan which rose steadily and Iran which rose steadily. Most recently, Shushtar's incremental SNDi rose from 2.45 to 3.0 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Shushtar ranked 7th out of 15 cities in Khuzestan and 44th out of 169 in Iran as of 2020.

In new street additions, Shushtar and Raozan both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Ghubaysh built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Shushtar and Ghubaysh both became progressively more disconnected, while Raozan fluctuated in connectivity.
