The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Bandar-e Mahshahr plotted against Khuzestan and Iran. The SNDi of new construction in Bandar-e Mahshahr followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease, compared to Khuzestan which rose steadily and Iran which rose steadily. Most recently, Bandar-e Mahshahr's incremental SNDi rose from 2.38 to 2.53 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Bandar-e Mahshahr ranked 8th out of 15 cities in Khuzestan and 47th out of 169 in Iran as of 2020.

In new street additions, Bandar-e Mahshahr fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Belthara Road built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Shahreza fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Bandar-e Mahshahr grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Belthara Road became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards and Shahreza fluctuated in connectivity. Bandar-e Mahshahr and Belthara Road have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
