The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Kashan plotted against Esfahan and Iran. The SNDi of new construction in Kashan followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease, compared to Esfahan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease and Iran which rose steadily. Most recently, Kashan's incremental SNDi fell from 3.76 to 3.51 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Kashan ranked 4th out of 8 cities in Esfahan and 137th out of 169 in Iran as of 2020.

While Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya and Rio das Ostras both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, Kashan fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya and Rio das Ostras both became progressively more disconnected, while Kashan became progressively more connected. Kashan and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
