The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Palu plotted against Sulawesi Tengah and Indonesia. The SNDi of new construction in Palu followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Sulawesi Tengah which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Indonesia which rose steadily. Most recently, Palu's incremental SNDi rose from 4.19 to 4.21 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Palu ranked 2nd out of 5 cities in Sulawesi Tengah and 76th out of 366 in Indonesia as of 2020.

In new street additions, Palu fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while KUNDULUN built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Tambov built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Palu and Tambov both became progressively more disconnected, while KUNDULUN grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved.
