The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Jayapura plotted against Papua and Indonesia. The SNDi of new construction in Jayapura followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Papua which was at its lowest in 1991-2005 and Indonesia which rose steadily. Most recently, Jayapura's incremental SNDi rose from 7.66 to 7.72 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Jayapura ranked 14th out of 15 cities in Papua and 363rd out of 366 in Indonesia as of 2020.

In new street additions, Jayapura and Kon Tum both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Port Saint Lucie built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Jayapura and Port Saint Lucie both became progressively more disconnected, while Kon Tum fluctuated in connectivity. Jayapura and Kon Tum have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
