The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Ilaga plotted against Papua and Indonesia. The SNDi of new construction in Ilaga peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Papua which was at its lowest in 1991-2005 and Indonesia which rose steadily. Most recently, Ilaga's incremental SNDi fell from 2.75 to 2.49 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Ilaga ranked 2nd out of 15 cities in Papua and 10th out of 366 in Indonesia as of 2020.

In new street additions, Ilaga built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Sakhile built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Al-Bab fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. Looking at the full network, Sakhile and Al-Bab both became progressively more disconnected, while Ilaga grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Ilaga and Sakhile have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
