The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Elelim plotted against Papua and Indonesia. The SNDi of new construction in Elelim followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease, compared to Papua which was at its lowest in 1991-2005 and Indonesia which rose steadily. Most recently, Elelim's incremental SNDi fell from 5.24 to 3.6 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Elelim ranked 13th out of 15 cities in Papua and 350th out of 366 in Indonesia as of 2020.

While Managua and Ningyang both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, Elelim fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Managua and Ningyang both became progressively more disconnected, while Elelim became progressively more connected. Elelim and Managua have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
