Kecamatan Pringgabaya in context: Street-network sprawl trends

The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Kecamatan Pringgabaya plotted against Nusa Tenggara Barat and Indonesia. The SNDi of new construction in Kecamatan Pringgabaya peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Nusa Tenggara Barat which rose steadily and Indonesia which rose steadily. Most recently, Kecamatan Pringgabaya's incremental SNDi fell from 5.67 to 5.1 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Kecamatan Pringgabaya ranked 4th out of 8 cities in Nusa Tenggara Barat and 140th out of 366 in Indonesia as of 2020.

In new street additions, Kecamatan Pringgabaya and Parbatta both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Zhangping built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Kecamatan Pringgabaya and Zhangping both became progressively more disconnected, while Parbatta grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Notably, Kecamatan Pringgabaya had a more connected network than Parbatta in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
