All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Gombong's incremental SNDi rose from 3.87 to 5.44 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Gombong ranked 12th out of 47 cities in Jawa Tengah and 75th out of 366 in Indonesia as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Gombong and Kangmei both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Pachora fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Gombong and Kangmei both became progressively more disconnected, while Pachora fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Gombong had a more sprawly network than Kangmei in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
