The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Sumedang plotted against Jawa Barat and Indonesia. The SNDi of new construction in Sumedang followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Jawa Barat which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Indonesia which rose steadily. Most recently, Sumedang's incremental SNDi rose from 4.89 to 6.69 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Sumedang ranked 22nd out of 38 cities in Jawa Barat and 294th out of 366 in Indonesia as of 2020.

In new street additions, Sumedang fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Sarajevo built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Dalla built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Sumedang fluctuated in connectivity, while Sarajevo became progressively more disconnected and Dalla grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Sumedang and Sarajevo have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
