The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Purwakarta plotted against Jawa Barat and Indonesia. The SNDi of new construction in Purwakarta followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Jawa Barat which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Indonesia which rose steadily. Most recently, Purwakarta's incremental SNDi rose from 5.5 to 5.81 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Purwakarta ranked 27th out of 38 cities in Jawa Barat and 314th out of 366 in Indonesia as of 2020.

In new street additions, Purwakarta fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Buram built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Bazhong City built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Purwakarta became progressively more disconnected, while Buram grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Bazhong City became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Purwakarta and Buram have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
