What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Salon fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Tanay built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Yuanbaoshan built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Looking at the full network, Tanay and Yuanbaoshan both became progressively more disconnected, while Salon grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Notably, Salon had a more connected network than Tanay in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
