The SNDi of new construction in Domariaganj was at its lowest in 1976-1990, compared to Uttar Pradesh which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and India which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Domariaganj's incremental SNDi rose from 2.95 to 4.65 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Domariaganj ranked 137th out of 291 cities in Uttar Pradesh and 966th out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

In new street additions, Domariaganj built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Moulvibazar built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Kongolo built increasingly disconnected streets over time. Looking at the full network, Moulvibazar and Kongolo both became progressively more disconnected, while Domariaganj became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. Notably, Domariaganj had a more sprawly network than Kongolo in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
