The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Khatīma plotted against Uttarakhand and India. While Uttarakhand and India both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Khatīma's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Khatīma's incremental SNDi rose from 2.06 to 3.09 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Khatīma ranked 2nd out of 20 cities in Uttarakhand and 195th out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

In new street additions, Khatīma and KwaNobuhle both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Shubra Khit built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Khatīma fluctuated in connectivity, while Shubra Khit became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards and KwaNobuhle became progressively more disconnected. Khatīma and KwaNobuhle have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
