The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Nirmal plotted against Telangana and India. While Telangana and India both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Nirmal's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Nirmal's incremental SNDi rose from 2.69 to 3.78 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Nirmal ranked 29th out of 47 cities in Telangana and 504th out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

In new street additions, Nirmal and Moussoro both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Maastricht built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Nirmal and Moussoro both fluctuated in connectivity, while Maastricht became progressively more disconnected. Notably, Nirmal had a more sprawly network than Moussoro in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
