In new street additions, Thiruvarur built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Nimes built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Swarupkathi built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Thiruvarur became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards, while Nimes became progressively more disconnected and Swarupkathi fluctuated in connectivity. Thiruvarur and Nimes have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
