Pratapgarh in context: Street-network sprawl trends

The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Pratapgarh plotted against Rajasthan and India. The SNDi of new construction in Pratapgarh rose steadily, compared to Rajasthan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and India which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Pratapgarh's incremental SNDi rose from 1.7 to 2.0 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Pratapgarh ranked 8th out of 95 cities in Rajasthan and 94th out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

For the full network, Pratapgarh and Mrauk U both became progressively more disconnected, while Dolvi became progressively more disconnected.
