The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Niwai plotted against Rajasthan and India. The SNDi of new construction in Niwai was at its lowest in 1976-1990, compared to Rajasthan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and India which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Niwai's incremental SNDi rose from 2.41 to 2.63 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Niwai ranked 37th out of 95 cities in Rajasthan and 323rd out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

In new street additions, Niwai built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Saqultah built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Jatibarang built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Niwai became progressively more connected, while Saqultah became progressively more disconnected and Jatibarang grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Notably, Niwai had a more sprawly network than Saqultah in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
