The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Aklera plotted against Rajasthan and India. The SNDi of new construction in Aklera peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Rajasthan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and India which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Aklera's incremental SNDi fell from 3.72 to 3.47 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Aklera ranked 25th out of 95 cities in Rajasthan and 209th out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

In new street additions, Aklera built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Sangzhi built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Dongming fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Aklera became progressively more disconnected, while Sangzhi became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards and Dongming fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Aklera had a more connected network than Dongming in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
