The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Dhuri plotted against Punjab and India. While Punjab and India both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Dhuri's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Dhuri's incremental SNDi rose from 4.85 to 4.98 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Dhuri ranked 36th out of 41 cities in Punjab and 1278th out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

In new street additions, Dhuri fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Dherai built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Shaikh Muhammad built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Dhuri became progressively more disconnected, while Dherai became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards and Shaikh Muhammad grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Dhuri and Dherai have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
