The SNDi of new construction in Pattamundai peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Odisha which rose steadily and India which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Pattamundai's incremental SNDi fell from 4.63 to 4.19 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Pattamundai built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Neral built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Zaraza fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Pattamundai and Neral both became progressively more disconnected, while Zaraza fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Pattamundai had a more connected network than Zaraza in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
