All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Shiroli's incremental SNDi rose from 4.34 to 5.83 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Shiroli ranked 138th out of 157 cities in Maharashtra and 1255th out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Shiroli fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Za Lun built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Lunavada built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Shiroli became progressively more disconnected, while Za Lun grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Lunavada became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. Notably, Shiroli had a more connected network than Lunavada in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
