The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Basmat plotted against Maharashtra and India. The SNDi of new construction in Basmat peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Maharashtra which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and India which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Basmat's incremental SNDi fell from 2.95 to 2.75 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Basmat ranked 22nd out of 157 cities in Maharashtra and 125th out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

While Fenyang and Sujangarh both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, Basmat built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Fenyang and Sujangarh both grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Basmat became progressively more disconnected. Notably, Basmat had a more connected network than Sujangarh in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
