The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Shivpuri plotted against Madhya Pradesh and India. The SNDi of new construction in Shivpuri rose steadily, compared to Madhya Pradesh which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and India which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Shivpuri's incremental SNDi rose from 3.19 to 4.43 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Shivpuri ranked 28th out of 98 cities in Madhya Pradesh and 624th out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

While Changyi and Sincelejo both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, Shivpuri built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street additions. For the full network, Shivpuri and Sincelejo both became progressively more disconnected, while Changyi fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Shivpuri had a more connected network than Changyi in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
