In new street additions, Sarni built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Ayyampettai fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Hengfeng built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. Looking at the full network, Ayyampettai and Hengfeng both became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards, while Sarni became progressively more disconnected. Sarni and Ayyampettai have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
