The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Dhar plotted against Madhya Pradesh and India. The SNDi of new construction in Dhar rose steadily, compared to Madhya Pradesh which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and India which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Dhar's incremental SNDi rose from 3.71 to 5.27 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Dhar ranked 43rd out of 98 cities in Madhya Pradesh and 856th out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

In new street additions, Dhar and Ilaro both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while San Fernando built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Dhar and Ilaro both became progressively more disconnected, while San Fernando grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Notably, Dhar had a more connected network than Ilaro in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
