The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Mulabagilu plotted against Karnataka and India. The SNDi of new construction in Mulabagilu rose steadily, compared to Karnataka which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and India which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Mulabagilu's incremental SNDi rose from 3.23 to 3.35 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Mulabagilu ranked 35th out of 96 cities in Karnataka and 427th out of 1868 in India as of 2020.

In new street additions, Mulabagilu built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Bir El Ater built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Qalat Sukkar fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Mulabagilu grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Bir El Ater grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Qalat Sukkar became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Notably, Mulabagilu had a more connected network than Bir El Ater in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
